The Chef's Table: An Open-Air Feast

They say “do what you love.” Well, the Chef’s Table is a perfect expression of what I love— great food, cooking, bonfires, and dancing under the stars. Growing up family get-togethers were about connecting and having fun. There was a generosity and abundance around these feasts that felt like love. What started with family and friends, over time grew to include new people who became new friends. And the food has likewise evolved in the many years I’ve been cooking professionally.
I use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible because they’re harvested at their peak. It’s also a very grounded way of cooking that celebrates the seasons. And turns out the food just tastes better.
So we’ve set up the long table in our little enchanted wood in Mendocino County to create a similar communal dining experience. This is how the Chef’s Table Dinner Series was created. It is essentially a grown-up, slightly more sophisticated version of those gatherings… and you are invited.
See you at the table.
